Bikers in Northamptonshire encouraged to take part in training courses

Bikers have been encouraged to take part in a series of training courses run by Northamptonshire Police.

Bikesafe aims to reduce casualties among bikers by passing on tips and knowledge to give riders an insight into safer, smoother riding, and a heightened awareness of possible hazards.

All of the officers assisting on BikeSafe are Police Class 1 Advanced riders from the forceís motorcycle section.

The events are run from Northamptonshire Policeís Headquarters, located at Block C in Mereway, Northampton NN48BH.

Courses for June are full, but spaces are currently available from July to October.

Prepare to party this Saturday

The RADMAG 20th Anniversary RockíníRoll party is just days away now. On Saturday 14th June, AJís Diner in Wellingborough will be the place to be for good times and live RockíníRoll provided by local band Red Thunder.

Due to demand we will be selling tickets on the door, but if you want yours in advance, they are available to buy at AJís Diner and at our regular meeting tonight (Wednesday) at the Green Dragon in Higham Ferrers.

Doors will open at 8:00pm and Red Thunder are due to start their set at 9:00pm. Tickets are £5 per person.

Offenders steal bike after breaking in through roof

A racing motorcycle was stolen from a garage in Nether Heyford after offenders broke in via the roof.

The white KTM RCB motorcycle was taken sometime between 6pm on Sunday 11 May and 11.20am on Monday 12 May.

The only description of the offenders was they were four men wearing hooded tops and casual clothes.

The burglary took place in The Peak and police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information regarding it.
